Orcs aren’t known for their great cuisine. Orcs prefer foods that are readily available (whatever can be had by raiding), and portable with little preparation, though they have a few racial delicacies. Toughs strips of lean meat, bones scavenged from recent kills, and dark coarse bread make up the bulk of common orc rations.Fire roasted rothe femur (marrow is a rare treat) [beef femur], Strips of dried meat (of unknown origin) [homemade goose jerky], foraged nuts, only edible by orcs….nut cracker tusks [brazil nuts], coarse black bread, made with whatever grains can be pillaged [black sesame bread], Pungent peppers [Habanero peppers stuffed with smoked fish and olives].
Lizardfolk are known to be omnivores, forage for a surprising variety of foods found within the confines of their marshy environs, in this case the Lizard Marsh near Daggerford. Fresh caught boiled Delimbyr Crayfish on wild chives, coastal carrageen moss entrapping estuary brine shrimp (irish moss, dried brine shrimp), Brackish-Berries (blackberries), Blackened Dart-Frog legs (frog legs) on spring sprouts (clover sprouts), roasted bog bugs on a stick!
From top left: Menzoberranzan black truffle rothe cheese (Black Knight Tilsit), Donigarten Moss Snails (Escargot in shallot butter sauce), Blind cave fish caviar in mushroom caps (Lumpfish caviar), faerzress infused duck egg imported from the surface Realms (Century egg), Black velvet ear fungus (Auricularia Black Fungus Mushroom).
Maybe none of these peeked your interest-maybe you’ve been wanting to create an o.c, but never really knew how to start-or you just enjoy making O.C’s….Or maybe you have a Gemsona that you want to create, but don’t have the energy to draw!
This masterlist is to help you in making your own OCs….it can also apply to developing RP characters i suppose!(´ヮ`)!
Not to be dramatic or anything, but I personally feel like this might be one of the most important comics I’ve ever drawn. The world has so many preconceived ideas about what disability is “supposed” to look like—so when people with invisible disabilities come along and challenge those ideas, they are often met with a lot of unnecessary and, frankly, terrifying aggression. I’ve heard stories of people being yelled at, notes being left on windows, and even vehicles being vandalized because someone did not “look disabled enough” to use an accessible parking space. This sort of treatment is unacceptable.
I don’t normally ask you all to share my comics, but I believe that this one needs to be seen, especially by people who are outside the disability/chronic illness community—and the only way that’s going to happen is if we work together. 💪 Help people remember that not all disabilities look that same—and that not all disabilities are visible.
In case Tumblr implodes, or if y'all wanna follow me elsewhere, I have some other social media accounts, though aside from DeviantArt, I haven’t used the others much/at all yet. I plan to start cross-posting to all of the following going forward, though, so feel free to give ‘em a follow if you want to see more of this (sporadic, messy) content!
I’m hoping to get on Pillowfort eventually, and I have a Twitch channel that I’d like to start streaming from, but it is as yet unused; I’ll post handles to those if/when they become relevant.
Hope to see y'all after the Purge but if not, see you (on other platforms, hopefully) space cowboys!
NB: I will still be posting on Tumblr, and plan on staying here until it dies/I am forcibly evicted.
Additional comment on the Tumblr Purge: queer content appears to be being flagged as sensitive at a higher rate compared to similar non-queer content. Completely SFW queer art is being flagged. There’ve been claims of certain terms being blacklisted despite not violating the new content rules (I’m being told that this is also disproportionately affecting the SFW furry community as well, for instance) so even if your content is entirely SFW and completely absent of female-presenting nipples check all your posts for flags, especially if you’re queer!
Okay going back to hunkering down for finals while the only online community I feel comfortable in burns to the ground.
Still in the process of getting alternative social media platforms up and dusted off, and will share when I do in light of the Tumblr Purge, but just wanted to mention something I’ve seen several times now: there seems to be a pattern of posts tagged with “chronic pain” or “chronic illness” getting flagged despite not being NSFW in any conceivable context.
The chronic illness/disability community on Tumblr has made my life so much better, and the advice and support I’ve gotten on here has helped get me through a year and a half of law school. The idea of losing all of the resources, encouragements, and personal stories people with chronic pain conditions, disabilities, and illnesses have shared on this site due to the inept sensitive material algorithms is sickening. If you post and/or reblog content on chronic pain and illness, check your posts to see if they’ve been flagged. Back up your data. And, if all goes to hell and this site crashes and burns, know that what you have shared has meant the world to me.
Seize the Day was a calendar program made by in 1994 by Buena Vista software. It features graphics that at the time, were revolutionary because of the way they handled color cycling. These images were static bitmaps, but by changing color values, they appear animated. What is also impressive about these images is that they had full day night cycles built in, rendered also through color cycling. A few years ago, a html5 version was made. A copy was uncovered online and there is a way to use the program through DOSbox. As well, one of the original programmers for the project, Iam Gilman, has thought of the idea of remaking it, open sourced, for modern machines.
thanks for writing a more elaborate explanation. i’ve seen these pictures be spread like wildfire without mention of the technology behind it.
I’ve actually emailed Etsy support about this and they literally just told me to read their site rules…
Fuckers.
is wearing any of this shit or having it in our homes going to be called cultural appropriation? because thats the real question
Did you pay actual native americans for it and did your money go back into their communities when you bought something from them? Because that’s not appropriation.
