Once, when I was trying to comfort a spooked cabinmate at Jewish Nature Camp, she told me that “I have really scary eyes when I want to,” and although it was entirely antithetical to the effect I was trying to achieve, I still feel incredibly proud of this. I have those color-changing, Stormy Grey/Ember Green/Ocean Blue eyes of a fanfiction protagonist, so I’m pretty sure I have a magical destiny waiting for me.
