There are So Many Animals and I want to be all of them. A counselor at the previously-mentioned Jewish Nature Camp once compared me to a sea turtle, gliding along and enjoying the view. A former partner once compared me to a tardigrade, which felt pretty great, because water bears are resilient as fuck and are the ultimate survivors. I think she might have mostly meant Very Small though, which isn’t wrong. (Hi

But, the question is what /I/ think, isn’t it? OK. So. Otters. They can kind of be huge jerks, but they’re also incredibly clever and resourceful (they’re one of the few non-human animals to be repeatedly recording using tools! That’s so fucking cool you guys!). They’re generally pretty chill, but incredibly scrappy and aggressive when provoked, and can hold their own in a fight against predators larger than them. They’re fluffy and adorable but can mess adversaries up if need be. They’re often underestimated but remarkably competent. I feel like that’s honestly a pretty good analogy for me, to be honest.
